U6-U10 Short-Sided Games Policy
The purpose of this policy is to establish guidance for team formation and implementation of age appropriate short-sided games.
AYSO highly recommends age appropriate small-sided games for younger children to allow more touches on the ball and to foster a more successful soccer learning
environment. This policy for short-sided games applies to the U6, U7, U8, and U10 divisions. . . .
Region92 Zero Tolerance Policy
Youth development is the central focus of the AYSO program. This includes development of youth
whether they are soccer players, referees or youth coach trainers. All the AYSO guidelines and policies on
providing a Safe, Fair, and Fun environment for players also apply to youth referees and coach trainers. Only
positive and encouraging comments are allowed to be directed at youth volunteers. The purpose of this policy is
to make clear that verbal abuse of youth volunteers is as unacceptable as verbal abuse of youth players and to
adopt basic standard sanctions for improper conduct.
. . .
Region92 Disciplinary Policy
All AYSO games shall be conducted in accordance with the current FIFA Laws of The Game and
decisions of the International Football Association Board in effect on July 1, 2011 as modified by any
exceptions detailed in the AYSO National Rules and Regulations, Section One Rules and Regulations,
and applicable Area 1-D Beach Cities Rules & Regulations.
