Purpose
- The purpose of the Region 92 Youth Scholarship Program is to recognize our youth volunteers who have contributed to the AYSO vision to provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives.
- The scholarship program is open to any graduating high school student of any high school going on to college, university, advanced education program, or trade school. The applicant must have a history as a registered and active youth volunteer in the AYSO Region 92 soccer program.
- The Region will typically award multiple scholarships from $500 to $5,000 each year totaling $11,000 (subject to Region Board approval).
Eligibility
- Any graduating senior going to college, university, advanced education program or trade school and has shown participation, involvement, and support for the AYSO program. The applicant must have had a history as a registered and active youth volunteer in the AYSO Region 92 soccer program.
Procedure
- Students must complete and submit
- An AYSO Region 92 Youth Volunteer Scholarship application and
- A written essay of 350 words or less titled “MY AYSO EXPERIENCE.”

Applications must be either emailed to [email protected] OR dropped off or mailed to AYSO Scholarship Committee, 401 E. Sycamore Avenue, El Segundo, CA 90245.
Remarks
Selection of scholarship recipients will be made by the AYSO Region 92 committee. Award winners will be asked over the summer prior to disbursement to provide written verification of attendance to a college or university, advanced education.
ESHS students should follow scholarship application deadlines established by the ESHS administration. Applications may also be submitted directly to AYSO Region 92 by email to Tony Parascandola, Region 92 Scholarship Coordinator.
Applications must be received no later than April 15, 2026 for consideration.
NOTE: Applications received after the deadline may not be considered.
Scholarship Award Selection
Selection of scholarship recipients attending El Segundo High School will be made by the AYSO Region 92 scholarship committee and will be announced at the annual El Segundo High School scholarship awards ceremony in late May or early June.
Award winners must provide written verification of attendance to a college or university, advanced education program, or trade school.
